Excavation competent person training
The Excavation Safety Competent Person training class equips students with knowledge and skills to identify and address potential excavation hazards, which are critical to being a competent person on excavation sites. This course covers the OSHA excavation standards (subpart P), including those related to general excavation hazards such as underground utilities, surface encumbrances, job-site equipment, hazardous atmospheres, and conducting soil testing and classification. Additionally, students will learn about selecting and installing cave-in protective systems and OSHA inspection requirements for the excavation Competent Person, ensuring the student is well-equipped to manage excavation sites safely.
